Since we opened our doors in 1957, Calvert Office Equipment Ltd has evolved to become the largest independent supplier of digital imaging products to the N. Ireland marketplace. Being the "largest" at anything doesn't automatically mean you're the "best". However we continually strive to improve all the differing aspects of our business, whether this is the speed of our service response, our knowledge of machine applications or simply the correct delivery of consumables and invoices.
We have been fortunate to be in partnership with two of the most progressive and visionary manufacturers' in the world, Canon and Kyocera Mita. Four years ago they left us under no illusions that convergence of the traditional copier and printer markets would be reality within a short period of time.
Since then we have:
- Invested over £ 200,000 in our showroom facility, offering clients the ability to view up to 18 different connected devices running on three different operating systems, NT, Novell and Mac OS.
- Increased our page volume from 90 million to 165 million pages per annum
- Increased our customer base to 2,650 machines (March 2003)
- Provided all of our technical staff with Lap Top and PDA technology
- Built a 16 person "Digital Training Room" complete with Big Screen Smart Board TM
- Become the first Canon "Plus Partner" in Ireland
- Become the only Kyocera Mita "Strategic Partner" in Ireland

Canon
We have represented Canon UK for the past 9 years qualifying as their first Canon Plus Partner in Ireland 3 years ago. We market and service their complete range of digital multifunctional devices in both colour and black and white.
Their new iR range of black and white multi-functionals will produce documents from 16 to 105 pages per minute, whilst they continue to lead the colour industry with both their CLC and iRC ranges.
Kyocera Mita
We have represented Kyocera Mita UK for the past 22 years qualifying as their only Strategic Partner in Ireland. They more than any other company represent the convergence that has taken place over the past 5 years. Born from the merger of Mita Industrial and Kyocera's printer division, they now have a turnover of $ 1.45 billion per annum whilst the entire Kyocera Corporation has a turnover of $ 9.2 billion.
In May 2001 the Financial Times ranked Kyocera Corporation 122nd in its listing of the world's most important companies, whilst Kyocera have been selected in each of the last 5 years as one of the world's 100 best managed companies by Industry Week. Only 35 other companies have achieved this.
